Marc van Gelder

Mr. Van Gelder (1961) is of Dutch nationality. He was appointed to the board of the Stichting on 9 April 2018. 

Mr. Van Gelder read economics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and got his MBA at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He worked for Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York (1986-1988). After getting his MBA he worked for McKinsey & Company (1990-1996) and held various positions at Koninklijke Ahold N.V. (1996-2004), one of which was CEO at Peapod in the US, after which he became a Member of the Board at Mediq N.V. (2005-2014). 

Mr. Van Gelder currently holds the following positions: Founder/CEO of Dennendonck Investments B.V. Member of the Supervisory Board at: Vastned N.V. (chairman), Hans Anders N.V. (chairman), Action B.V., Mint Solutions B.V., JPMorgan European Smaller Companies Trust plc. In addition he is chairman of the Stichting Continuïteit NN Group N.V. and of the Stichting Administratiekantoor Fugro N.V. Mr. Van Gelder is chairman of the Diabetes Fund and sits on the board of the Nederland-America Foundation, Koninklijk Paleis het Loo (het Loo Royal Palace) and the Helen Dowling Institution. 

Previously Mr. Van Gelder was inter alia a Supervisory Director at Maxeda N.V. (2005-2017) and at Gimv in Belgium (2014-2016).
